MUVVERS PRIDE;

Based in Kensal Rise, London  circa 78 and led by the legendary Suby who worked at the "Boy" shop on the Kings Road.

  They made the Slits look like Abba, the full on punk attack of Muvvers Pride burned the circuit for almost a year before the band split after Sue got pregnant. Lynne & Dee (Hurley) then formed the short lived  Pearl-Harbour, before settling on Mo-dettes style of The Spiders who released one single "Mony, Mony" in 1980 on the 'Red Shadow' label. Strangely enough, the band even saw this single being released in Spain & Peru of all places!

Lynne later became a world renowned make up artist working with many major music stars. Nina became the singer of 4th Reich, who then changed their name to Manufactured Romance.

Nina now works as a radio DJ in Los Angeles, Lynne sadly died in feb,2006 (her younger brother Antony Easton wrote her obituary for the Guardian online....

"Dee Marsh" live on stage at the "Battersea Arts Centre", Lavender Hill, London on Thursday 16th March 1978.

Original gig flyer from Sunday 12th February 1978 for the 'Roxy Club' - This is a bit of a weird one, evidence that there were still punk gigs at the Roxy into the early part of 1978. The gig features Small Wonder stalwarts 'Patrick Fitzgerald' and 'The Leyton Buzzards' along with 'The Goats', 'The Mistakes' and 'Muvvers Pride'. The flyer acknowledges the Pistol's recent demise, but the overall tone is one of comedy.
