We are trying to put a page together on the Birmingham Punk festival that took place at the "Barbarellas Night Club" on the August Bank Holliday of 1977.
It was rumoured that the whole festival was recorded by 'Phonogram Records' for a scheduled 14 track album release called "PUNK '77". As to this day, no recordings have surfaced but we have found out that the below bands were reported to have played.
THE DRONES
BETHNAL
RUDI & THE RATIONALS
D.FEATURES
THE ACCELERATORS
THE REJECTS
SPIZZ OIL
The above image is the original artwork that 'Phonogram / Vertigo' records had designed for this release but sadly it never came out. |
