Hello,
I was idly surfing
and came across your webpage for The Dregs, a band I played with
before they cut the record. I was the keyboard player, and lived
close to some of the band in Golders Green.
I recall us playing
one gig in either late1978 or early 1979, at Garnett College,
Roehampton, where I was a mature student.
We were the support
band for a group called Pekoe Orange, but our depressing sound did
not go down well with the audience, and the PA was turned off after
4 songs.
Among other audience
comments were, "I'd rather give birth than listen to this lot", and,
"Come over here, lads, and I'll buy you each a pint."
After the PA was
turned off I played the "Magic Roundabout" theme on my Vox
Continental.
Then the power was
turned off completely.
Happy days.
