When the Roxy Club closed its doors in 1978 the Punk scene was stuck for a regular venue where new Punk acts could ply their trade.
So on Wednesday nights starting in the summer of 1978 the action moved to Acton, with the "Last Bastion Club" offering up two live bands plus Marquee Club DJ 'Jerry Floyd' at Punk Rock prices.

| Due to the massive fights that took place during the gig on the 22nd November, the owners declared that the gig on the 29th November would be the last and the "Last Bastion Club" closed for good with the last listed shows cancelled. Another Punk club bites the dust!!! | |
