*After speaking to the band, one member said 400 copies and another member said 1000.

Formed circa Feb 1981 – April 1982.

We started by doing covers at parties but immediately started writing our own songs and decided to try and cash in on the forthcoming wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana and the tracks on the single were the first songs that we ever wrote!

We pressed up 1000 copies of the single including the picture sleeve at a cost of approximately £1000. Then we mainly sold at gigs and the going price of a 7” back then was £0.67p so it wasn’t a great success, but we did manage to sell over 700 copies.

The band played quite a few gigs around their home town of Glasgow and then ventured out to the west of Scotland, playing benefits for worthy causes. The majority of our gigs were put on by ourselves by hiring community centre halls etc. Getting gigs in pubs was very hard back then!

The Guitarist (Adam Ent) and myself wrote all the tracks. He was more into the Clash, but I preferred Crass…. (i.e. as the saying went…. CRASS NOT CLASH).

Our biggest gig was the “Anti Falklands War Demo” in 1982. The organisers of the benefit made the mistake of hiring a flat bed truck with a generator on board and the plan was for us to play after all the political speeches, but the band persuaded the truck driver to join the demo for the beginning and we decided to play throughout. We let all the Anarchists and protestors jump aboard with all their “FUCK OFF TO THE FALKLANDS” banners and placards.

The Police waited for us to arrive and when we reached the actual demonstration rally they raided the truck and me and six other protesters got snatched and got carted off to the cells. The remaining three members of the band were so incensed at what took place they refused to stop playing and invited members of the crowd up on to the lorry to take care of the vocal duties.

Tony Benn along with Bruce Kent (who was CND organisation's general secretary) along with other big wigs begged the band to stop playing so that they could carry on with the protest speeches, but as there were 60,000 plus people in attendance the band played on…

Later that same day we all got charged with “Subversion” but nothing came of it as it never went to court.

After this infamous event, the band was on the police’s radar and they started raiding all the future gigs. Over twenty Punks were arrested over the next three gigs alone. There was no reason apart from the bands notoriety after the demo and no venues would entertain the band to play after this. So sadly the band fizzled out….
