Andy Moore at Barbarellas, Birmingham on July 1979 |
Brian Betteridge on vocals, Sam Burnett on guitar and backing vocals, Mal on bass and Nigel Woolf on drums after Andy Moore left. Nigel joined after the March Of The Mods tour and did the Dancing In The Streets tour with BTZ and Secret Affair. |
We got shot of him for BTZ Mk3 and he joined the Cockney Rejects. BTZ Mk3 had Nick Sinclair on drums and as Brian had gone by then too, Craig Lappin on vocals. Mal was the bass player throughout. We did a few gigs and recorded a demo of three new songs ('Names & Rocks', 'I Could Be Dreaming' and 'So Young') for Chrysallis but they didn't sign us in the end and we split shortly after.
Round about 12 months in all, but what a great year to be 17 years old.
